Every Saturday my small children love watching the Bob the Builder show on our directv family package. On this show Bob is a cartoon character that is a handyman. Bob is always doing projects with his friends. His friends are different pieces of construction equipment. On each episode Bob is doing a particular project. On my children’s favorite episode, Bob is building the foundation of a house. He shows children how dirt needs to be dug up before the foundation can be poured. Once the characters dig the hole for the foundation they show the children how the concrete needs to be mixed and poured for the foundation of the house.

Since my children have started watching this show, they have become more interested in helping their dad do household projects. Since they are still small they do more watching than helping. However, I think it is great that they are interested in how household projects get done.

Since my children have started watching this show they are naming pieces of construction equipment whenever they see them. If we are passing a construction company on the road my children will start naming off all of the construction equipment. They also will tell me what each piece of equipment does. I think the Bob the Builder show is a great show for any child to watch.
